What is the Compact?
The Compact is an agreement between the Government and the voluntary and community sector. It recently celebrated its ten year anniversary.
It describes how the two sectors should work together for the benefit of wider society.
What's new
NCVO launches consultation on the Compact's future
NCVO is asking members to share their views on how the Compact operates now, and how it should in the future.
The deadline for responses was 31 october 2008.
About the future of the Compact
Compact Voice
Compact Voice represents the views of the voluntary and community sector on all matters relating to the Compact.
Compact voice launched a report on Independence and the Compact on November 5 at a reception in Downing Street.

The Compact Advocacy Programme can help your organisation use the Compact and get better relationships with statutory bodies.
As well as giving advice and support, we also advocate on behalf of organisations in cases of clear breaches.
