NCVO is a charity that gives voice and support to over 280,000 staff in voluntary and community organisations.

With 6,000 organisations in membership, we are the largest umbrella body in the voluntary sector. 

Our members enjoy the feeling of community that comes from being part of a group of organisations with similar values. Our members share many of the same issues and challenges.

Achievements with the support of our members

With the support of our members, we have been able:

• to represent the views of our members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the European Union and other bodies
• to campaign on generic issues affecting the whole of the voluntary sector 
• to be at the forefront of research into, and analysis of, the voluntary sector
