The conference is themed Civil Society: building trust in uncertain times. World-renowned, straight-talking political theorist and author Dr Benjamin Barber, a former advisor to US President Bill Clinton, will give the keynote address, challenging us to focus on the testing times we face in 2009 and beyond. Call for partners in foresight projects

Would you like to take part in research into external forces impacting on the organisations you support?  NCVO Third Sector Foresight is looking for partners for five projects researching the drivers that affect specialist organisations within the sector. This is a chance to work with leaders of foresight analysis on a groundbreaking research project. The deadline for applications is 30 January 2009, so don’t delay in finding out more. Sector Qualification Strategy: Have your say

The UK Workforce Hub has been commissioned by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) to develop a Sector Qualification Strategy for the UK third sector. We have now developed the draft Sector Qualification Strategy for consultation and we need as many people as possible who work or volunteer in the sector to answer the questions posed in this draft strategy.  The closing date for this consultation is 27 February 2009.
