Campaigning Effectiveness events
We are currently planning a series of seminars and networking events for the coming months. Please do contact us if you have any particular training needs or suggestions for future events.
Certificate in Campaigning
The Certificate in Campaigning course, organised by Campaigning Effectiveness and Westminster Explained, provides participants with an accredited qualification covering all aspects of campaigning. Find out more about the course and how it could help you.
The fourth series of the Certificate in Campaigning course will begin early next year – the starting date will be confirmed shortly.
Policy Forum
All Policy Forum events are free to attend.
Christmas Social Event

Come along to our Christmas event on 3 December to celebrate the re-launch of the Policy Forum and meet and network with other forum members over a glass of wine. The event will also be an opportunity to hear more about our events programme for 2009, and to join our online Policy Forum, the first networking site of its kind for policy workers across the sector.

Policy Forum seminar: Analysing the external policy environment

The first Policy Forum seminar of the new year explores one of the essential components of effective policy work: understanding the external policy environment. This free seminar will explore some of the key ‘drivers’ affecting the public policy agenda and consider the practical tools and approaches that organisations can use to analyse the external environment.

Influencing Policy, Driving Change

Organised jointly by the NCVO Policy Forum and Regional Action West Midlands (RAWM), this one-day regional conference will help ensure your policy work brings about real change. The day features a range of sessions, including a choice of practical workshops and panel discussions, and gives you the opportunity to network with and learn from colleagues across the region.

NCVO Political Conference 2008 (London)
Thursday 27 November 2008
This year’s Political Conference focuses on building the political intelligence of voluntary and community sector organisations and helping them to prepare for new challenges in the political cycle. It will include a campaigning clinic during lunchtime, offering advice to campaigners and answering their questions.
Partner events
The following events are part of the Capacity Builders 'Improving Support' programme on Campaigning and Advocacy. NCVO’s Campaigning Effectiveness team lead the Improving Support programme and work with a range of partners across the sector to provide additional support in enhancing effectiveness and impact to infrastructure organisations.
'Make a Difference' Campaign Roadshows (regional events)
Organised in partnership between Campaigning Effectiveness and Novas Scarman Group the roadshows are an opportunity to meet others involved in campaigning in your area, network, learn new skills and take part in workshops specific to the needs of your region.
